ABOUT THE SBA

Established in 1983, the Saskatchewan Band Association is a non-profit, charitable organization.

We are open to any individual, group or organization interested in furthering the development of bands in Saskatchewan.

The Association represents community bands, school bands, the Saskatchewan Pipe Band Association, band directors, music educators, parent associations, students, education institutions, community organizations, and other music associations.

Membership in the Saskatchewan Band Association provides a variety of benefits, including a diverse range of programs and services which enhance and support the future of instrumental music in Saskatchewan. Together we present a strong, collective voice, both provincially and nationally, on issues affecting Saskatchewan bands and the Saskatchewan community .

Congratulations and Farewell

The Saskatchewan Band Association will unfortunately be saying good-bye to our Program Coordinator, Dr. David Dick, at the end of the summer as he transitions to a new full-time teaching position with the University of Regina.  We congratulate Dave on his new position and we are confident he will bring the same level of passion and love for music education that he has demonstrated during his time with SBA.  We certainly wish him all the best and we are very pleased that Dave has expressed a desire to remain involved with SBA as a volunteer.
